Starting a blog finally!

I thought I would create a blog to keep everyone updated on our lives - part of my new years resolution as we enter into 2011! I think this will also be a great thing to share with Hadley when she grows up - her "e-baby book" sort of!

Most of you know we are now a family of 3! We were blessed on 9/21/10 with Ms. Hadley Caroline Skeen! She has brought so much joy into our lives! She is a happy, healthy girl and every day just gets sweeter with her in our lives! Even though it was a high risk pregnancy due to blood clotting disorders I have, it was an easy pregnancy - I really loved being pregnant. Here are some of Hadley's newborn photos (5 days old!) Isn't she precious?

Hadley is such a sweet baby. She really only fusses when she is hungry or tired which has made the transition for me and Brandon to parents much easier! I love being a mom - it's the best job I could ever imagine!

Here are some pictures from her first few months of life.....

At the hospital. 8 lbs 8 oz and 20.5 inches long. Born at 8:02 pm via c-section (after 20 hours of labor I stopped dilating)

The day we brought our little bundle of joy home!

First bath at 13 days old after her umbilical cord fell off! She wasn't so sure about the bath! But now she likes them :)

Here she is on her 1 month birthday! 10 pounds and 22 inches!

First Halloween! A little lady bug!

Flirting with her daddy!

A few shots of her nursery!

Loving my daddy!

2 months old! 12 pounds and 22.75 inches!

My sweet girl!

My first Thanksgiving at the Skeens!

First Thanksgiving at Mimi's house!

Ready to go bye-bye!

First time rolling over @ 11 weeks!

Some other stats about us!

  • Brandon is working at TVA in the Financial Reporting Group and really enjoys his job and co-workers. He's been there about 2.5-3 years. Prior to that he worked at PwC.
  • I'm working at KPMG and have been there about 4 years. Currently on maternity leave and scheduled to return to work full time in April 2011. Hadley will attend the Goddard School in Hardin Valley when I go back to work.
  • Riley, our pup, is 4 years old - I can't believe he's already 4! He's gentle with Hadley, but still crazy when we have visitors! I don't know if he'll ever out grow that.
  • Still living in Millers Plantation (moved here in 2007 just before we got married). We love our home, but still enjoy window shopping for a new home :) We plan on staying in this house for 2-3 more years and then moving to a bigger house before Hadley starts school.
  • I just started selling Willow House (formerly Southern Living at Home). It's a fun way to earn a little extra income while I'm not working! Check out my website! http://andreaskeen.willowhouse.com/
  • We love traveling/vacationing and are excited to have a new travel buddy named Hadley!

More to come soon!
