End of Summer

The end of summer is fast approaching...sort of sad but I am ready for fall!  We've been enjoying these last few weeks of warm weather and are heading to Hilton Head this weekend!

Hadley and I had a girls afternoon at the zoo a couple of weekends ago :)  They have a cute indoor area with lots of activities perfect for Hadley (bunnies, activity tables, big building blocks, etc).  Good for a few minutes of relief from the sun.

Brooke and Brayden stopped by one evening for some driveway action. Look at all these cuties!  So excited the Bennetts live so close.

I snuck away from the office early and picked up Hadley for some late afternoon sunshine. Sidewalk chalk and all!

Brandon and I had fun at the Knoxville Open last weekend. It was perfect weather and we sat on the 16th hole. If a player birdies, beer is half off for 30 minutes. Definitely an entertaining one to watch :)

Football season has officially started!  Of course I had to send Hadley to school decked out in her orange and white for the first game!

We had a great labor day weekend - pool party at the Bennetts, cookout at the Plummers, engagement party for Leslie and Adam, and ended our long weekend at the movies with the Williams. These girls only lasted about a half hour, but I would call it a success!

October randomness...

Excited October is finally here!  This month has so many of my favorites - our 4th wedding anniversary, Brandon's 30th birthday, and halloween!

We've had a great weekend so far...getting sad about another Monday being just around the corner.

We suspected Hadley was a little under the weather and took her to the pediatrician Saturday morning.  Turns out she has an ear infection and allergies.  She is such a trooper when she is sick!  We hit up Cracker Barrel on the way home after her appointment.  Hadley sure does love their pancakes :)

Went shopping with my mom for a few hours yesterday and got some goodies for Hadley and myself.  A little retail therapy never hurts :)

UT beat Buffalo yesterday and Brandon is playing golf at this exact moment.  He must be in hog heaven!

Roast is in the crock pot, groceries are put up, laundry is drying, Hadley is napping, mommy is blogging/Pinning....it's Sunday in October at the Skeens!

Football season....finally!

I'm so excited football season is finally here!  This time last year I was as big as a bus ready to give birth.  Can't believe how much our lives have changed since then!  Last fall was crazy for us....just settling in to our new lives with a newborn, football was the last thing on our minds!  I love football season here in Knoxville.  There is no place I'd rather be this time of year!

We decided to skip tailgating and heading down to the first game of the season.  It was nearly 100 degrees outside we thought it would be fun to have some friends over and watch the game with our babies!  Plus, I love any excuse to pull out these fun platters!
