two.

I cannot believe my little Hadley bear is turning 2 in just a couple weeks.  The past two years have literally flown by and our baby is turning into a little girl right before our eyes.  She has brought so much joy into our lives these past 2 years (well, 2 years and 9 months actually)!  On 9.21.10, I didn't think I could ever love her any more than I did the day I first met her...yet each day I love her more than the last.

It's so amazing to me how much she has changed these last 2 years.  From a helpless little 8-pounder...

To a little lady singing her ABC's and Jesus Loves Me as she gets ready for school each morning, running around at full speed, and jabbering on about everything.

Here at almost two years old, here is what the Hadster is up to....

  • Loves to sing songs - Baby Bumblebee, Jesus Loves Me, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Row Row, ABC's, just to name a few
  • Can count to about 12 (but 8 through 11 are the most repeated)
  • Great eater...will eat just about anything, and alot of it :)
  • Size 24 months/2T
  • Such a sweet (yet sassy!) little spirit she has
  • Sleeping from around 8p-7a plus a 2ish hour nap each day
  • Loves the pool and playing with water
  • Can finally do pigtails in her hair!
  • Loves Sesame Street and the iPad
  • Coloring, painting, and playing with play dough are some of her favorite activities
  • Has pee-peed in potty on several occasions...no #2 yet
  • Can finally give me a great big hug, arms wrapped around my neck.  I can't get enough of her hugs or kisses!
  • Can Ring-a-Round the Rosy
  • Tells me she loves me which is the sweetest thing I've ever heard. I'll never tire of those words coming from her.
  • Has a pretty vast vocabulary.  She is a great little talker!
  • She is WILD!  This girl is full of energy and is always ready to go bye-bye, go outside, play, you name it.
  • She is a great helper at home and at school. At home she helps me with the laundry, unloading the dishwasher, picking up her toys (sometimes) and helping me back her diaper bag.
The last 2 years have been wonderful, they've been hard, and they've changed me in so many ways.  They've taught me life lessons you can only learn by being a mother.  I'm so thankful I've been blessed with the job of being her mommy.  Some days I feel like pulling out my hair, and others I have to hold back my tears of joy when I look at her sweet face.  It is certainly the most rewarding and challenging job in the world, but loving her is the sweetest, most natural thing I've ever done.  I can't wait to celebrate 2 amazing years with my little sunshine soon!
