Been away from the blog for a hot minute. These girls have been keeping me busy - and I went back to work October 1st, so it's been pretty cray-cray at the Skeen household!
Hadley turned 4 on September 21st. Can hardly believe my baby is 4. She has the sweetest little spirit and I am so lucky to be her mom. She had a Frozen themed party at the Little Gym, where 20 of her closest friends joined her for some playtime and cupcakes! I'm pretty sure I'll never have another birthday party at my house - they made it so easy!
Emma turned 4 months on November 1st. Here is what Emma's been up to in months 2, 3 and 4...
- At her 2 month checkup she weighed in at 10 lbs 2 oz (20%) and was 22.5 inches long (50%)
- At her 4 month checkup she weighed 12 lbs 15 oz (25%) and was 24.75 inches long (50%)
- She smiles and coos at us a lot now and it's pretty much the best thing EVER! Still waiting on a big belly laugh.
- We had been sleeping through the night before I went back to work, waking once between 2-4a to eat. She is waking more frequently thanks to the daycare sickies (congestion and cough that won't go away) and what I suspect is teething. She goes down around 7:30 or so in the evenings and is up for the day around 6:00 am.
- Nursing is going great, hoping I can keep up with her now that I am back to work :( So far exclusively breastfed which I am so thankful for.
- She loves warm baths and being talked to and sung to. And I sure don't mind rocking her one bit.
- She loves Hadley and Riley - and Hadley is great at entertaining her!
I literally cannot wait to get to daycare each afternoon and pickup my babies. Even though the evenings are busy trying to get everyone bathed, the baby fed, dinner on the table, bottles and pump parts sterilized, etc, I love every crazy minute. I think we are finding our groove, but wow, it's all hands on deck at the Skeen household. Brandon has been pretty amazing - these girls are so lucky to have such a wonderful and loving daddy. Best time of my entire day - just laying in the floor with my little family, all in our jammies relaxing just before bed.
